Dr. Arthur Woods
received his M.D. at the University of Arkansas where he also served his
internship and residency.

He earned
his undergraduate degree from McMurry College.

Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology with
fellowship in the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

PERSONAL

A strong desire to help people preserve their valuable
sense of eyesight led Dr. Woods to the practice of ophthalmology.

Dr. Woods is a southern native and was drawn to the Eye
Clinic and Jackson because he wanted to be affiliated with a group of
quality physicians in a thriving community.

Dr. Woods traveled to
China in 1997 for a study of the LASIK procedure under Dr. Stephen
Slade, a pioneer in the field. He returned to the
U.S. with the skills and
information needed to perform this surgical procedure which uses a laser
to correct near-sightedness and astigmatism.
